Leaving blues

So, i guess i've finally come down with the leaving blues. I know kinda silly right? But in many ways i'm gonna miss this life. It feels like i'm starting a new life down at Emporia and leaving this one behind. And i don't know if i really want to. i mean i've finally laid roots, found a place that i wanna be. And off i go again. And yes i know i'm gonna meet new people, and have fun and all of that but, at the same time, i'm afraid to lose what i have right here. That things are gonna change, because they will, they always do. I was reading today in my room, with celitc music and my electric blanket, and i wondered when i was going to be able to do that. Be alone with my cat. God, i'm gonna miss that furry demon. He means so much to me, and so do you. you mean so much too me. And i feel like when i leave i'll never see you again. And it breaks my heart to imagine it. when will we play cards? When will i get to cook for you? Tease you? pester you? hug you? Just please whatever you do don't stop commenting on blog, don't stop updating. it frightens me cause i feel like this will be my only link to you. sorry for the crazy emo ramblings.
love with all my heart

Hey babe! I understand what you mean about being excited to start on a new path but feeling blue b/c you don't want to lose what you have now. The good news is...you won't lose what you have now. Your family will always love you and be in Leavenworth...so whenever you want to play cards or watch silly movies or see your Furry Demon, you can. You will miss them but you will be in the midst of a wonderful new experience too. God has opened this door for you to explore and try new things that He has offered to you. He will always leave the door open to go back to where you came from. Your family and friends' love will never change and we are all here for you. God has amazing things planned for you. The most comforting thing to know is that God and Christ never change; His love and mercy are everlasting. Hebrews 13:8 says "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Well, your earthly family and friends are not on the same level as Christ of course, but their love will never change either. The door to your family and friends' homes will always be open for you.

Of course, there will be times when you miss your home, etc...that is normal! Why do you think I made that collage for you? I made it so that during those times you can look at your family and friends and smile...and feel like they are right there with you. They'll always be with you, in your heart. And...they'll always be a phone call and 2 hr drive away! My sister, take comfort in knowing that your family and friends love you very much and will miss you too. But, this is not the end of the adventure together...what lies ahead is God's amazing plan for each of us.

*Lord, please be with Kathleen during this time of change. She is excited Father about the doors you have opened for her but at the same time she is afraid to lose her relationships with her friends and family in Leavenworth. Please comfort her and instill peace in her heart, knowing that her loving Father, the Creator of heaven and earth never changes or becomes weary. Comfort her also Father in knowing that her family and friends in Leavenworth (and FL)love her with all their hearts, and will always have an open door for her to visit and/or return after college. Please give her strength, guidance and safety during these upcoming weeks as she will embark on the journey you have set before her. In Christ's most precious name I pray, Amen.

P.S. Remember our pact...if we are both still single when you graduate from Emporia, we will become roomies! :-)

I'm glad you are feeling better. It's all good...Emporia is going to be an awesome experience.

I'm looking forward to seeing you too! What is your class schedule? Maybe we can pick you up for a weekend if you aren't covered w/ homework and stuff to do.

    LOBES
